About the processing method of 304 stainless steel
2024-01-02

Different series of stainless steel materials have different processing methods. Based on the performance of each series of stainless steel materials, special processes are used to process them. Below, we will learn about the two processing methods of 304 stainless steel material, namely etching method and spray painting method.

1. Etching method: What is "etching method"? It is the etching process, which uses a silk screen to print a layer of acid resistant protective film on the surface of stainless steel, and then etches it with a solution of ferrous chloride to create artistic patterns. The process flow of etching processing for stainless steel products: stainless steel products → screen printing → etching → alkali treatment → oxidation coloring → finished product.

2. Spray painting method: What is "spray painting method"? It is to use the color particles sprayed out after screen printing to make a pear peel sample on the stainless steel surface, and then turn it into an artistic pattern. The process flow of spray painting processing for stainless steel products: stainless steel products → screen printing → etching → alkali treatment → screen printing → oxidation coloring → alkali treatment → finished product.

When processing, the stainless steel chemical coloring method is used, which is not made of pigments or dyes. Instead, the stainless steel is soaked in a heated solution of concentrated chromium sulfate "Cr2 (SO4) 3" and chemically colored. The characteristic of this method is that it has good food resistance. The ink used in processing has strong acid resistance and can produce special performance CV vulcanized ink in general use and treatment processes.

When stamping stainless steel products, the original "direct punching" and "stretching" stamping methods are generally used, using a punching machine to stamp stainless steel products. Generally, if the hardness of stainless steel material is less than 1/2, stretching and bending stamping methods are used, while if the hardness of stainless steel material is more than 1/2, direct punching stamping method is used
